Hi, I’m Michael
I currently work on three themes:
-
Building tools to support decision making in the forestry, development, and natural resources management sectors;
-
Research and analysis supporting Indigenous Peoples and local communities’ rights and their role in mitigating climate change;
-
Researching climate, disaster, and food security linkages.
I currently work at Indufor as a consultant, supporting public and private sector clients on themes one & two. In my spare time I work on research related to theme three, primarily in quantifying environmental and climatic exposure of refugee camps.
I have previously worked for NASA, the World Food Programme, and the International Research Institute for Climate and Society. I have a Masters in Climate and Society from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Columbia University; and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from American University.
